The definition of a contact is any person who is known to the housing organisation and therefore needs to be recorded on the database e.g. a tenant, an occupant, an applicant for housing, a carer, etc. Contacts can exist in isolation; they can also be associated with other contacts such as family members or carers. Any number of contact groups can also be created, with one or more contacts added as members of that group. A contact group offers a very efficient method of communicating with all members of that group; these can also be linked together in a hierarchical structure.
