The procedure to define the escalation path for a rent arrears policy is as follows:
- Navigate to Quick Menu > Rents > Configuration > Arrears Policy. The Arrears Policy window is displayed.
- Select a rent arrears policy from the alphabetical list or type its name into the Search Arrears Policy field. By default the list is filtered to show Current arrears policies. An alternative filter can be applied using the Select view drop-down field: Expired, Future or All combinations
1.
- Click on Escalation. The Escalation tab is activated.
- Select an action from the Available actions pane and transfer it over to to the desired position within the Escalation order pane using the 'drag and drop' technique
2.
- Repeat step 4 to specify further escalation actions.
- To reorder the action severities, apply the 'drag and drop' technique to move actions up or down the Escalation order pane i.e. the lowest severity at the top and the highest severity at the bottom
3.
- Click on Save.
Note
1 The Search Arrears Policy field will match against any element of the policy name.
2 The list of Available actions contains all action nodes defined in the arrears policy conditions.
3 It is not necessary for all actions to be included in the order of severity; where an action severity is no longer relevant, apply the 'drag and drop' technique to transfer it back to the Available actions pane.
