To remove a contact group from a segmented campaign audience

The procedure to remove a contact group from a segmented campaign audience is as follows:

  1. Navigate to Quick Menu > Campaigns > Configuration > Campaign Configuration. The Campaign Configuration window is displayed.
  2. Select a campaign definition from the alphabetical list or type its name into the Search Campaign field. By default the list is filtered to show Current campaign definitions. An alternative filter can be applied using the Select view drop-down field: Expired, Future or All 1.
  3. Click on Audience 2. The Audience tab is activated, revealing a list of all contact groups currently matched to the campaign through the segment criteria 3.
  4. Activate the Select tick box against each contact group to be removed from the campaign audience.
  5. Click on Cancel Contact / Group. The end user is asked to affirm the action and all selected contact group records are assigned a Cancelled status, qualified with a cancellation reason of Manual 4.
  6. Click on Close.


Note

1 The Search Campaign field will match against any element of the description.

2 At least one segment must be linked to the campaign definition before an audience can be compiled and selected contact groups omitted from it.

3 The primary focus of the audience summary table - contact groups or contacts - is determined by the Audience Type linked to the campaign definition.

4 All contact group records with a status of Cancelled are automatically excluded from subsequent activities linked to that campaign.
