The procedure to send a communication held in a queue is as follows:
- Navigate to Quick Menu > Communication Engine > Communication > Communication Queues. The Communication Generation window is displayed.
- Expand a queue generation heading from the alphabetical list and select an associated communication queue, or type its name into the Search Queues field. By default the list is filtered to show Current communication queues. An alternative filter can be applied using the Filter by drop-down field: Expired, Future or All combinations

- Click on Manage Queues. The Manage Queues tab is activated, revealing a list of communication jobs and their current status in the summary table.
- Select one or more desired communication jobs using the tick boxes provided

- Click on Send
2. The Status of each selected communication job is updated to In Progress.
- Once complete, the communication Status will be updated with the outcome; where the communication job fails to generate, a qualifying Reason is also displayed.
Tip
1 To aid the selection process, rows can be reordered by clicking on any of the available headings: Communication, Created By, Date Time Created, Status, Reason, No of Failures, No of Resend.
Note
1 The Search Queues field will match against any element of the communication queue name.
2 The Send function operates on communication jobs of any status i.e. it is used to reprint and resend historical jobs as well as to despatch new jobs pending. This function can also be used to generate an automated communication in advance of the scheduled slot; the status of the communication will be updated as a result, ensuring it is not regenerated once the scheduled slot is reached.
