To run scheduled tasks manually

Parent Previous Next

The procedure to run scheduled tasks manually is as follows:

  1. Navigate to Quick Menu > System > Scheduling > System Schedules. The Schedule Details window is displayed.
  2. Select a schedule from the alphabetical list or enter its name into the Search System Schedules field. By default the list is filtered to show Current schedules. An alternative filter can be applied using the Select view drop-down field: Expired, Future or All combinations 1.
  3. Click on Details (if not already selected). The Details tab is activated.
  4. Click on Run Now 2.
  5. All tasks associated with the scheduled timetable are processed in chronological order and all dependencies observed. Once complete, the status of each task is updated with the final outcome (e.g. Successful, Failed, etc.) and the associated Last Run date is stamped with the current system date and time 3.

Note

1 The Search System Schedules field will match against any element of the scheduling timetable description.

2 The function to generate an event manually in advance of the scheduled slot does not compromise the upcoming schedule in any way; if the next scheduled event has already reached the queue and is waiting to be processed, its details will be automatically replaced by those resulting from the manual execution.

3 As dependent tasks are processed sequentially within a system schedule, the Last Run date and time is captured at individual task level.
