To add a task to a scheduled timetable

The procedure to add a task to a scheduled timetable is as follows:

  1. Navigate to Quick Menu > System > Scheduling > System Schedules. The Schedule Details window is displayed.
  2. Select a schedule from the alphabetical list or enter its name into the Search System Schedules field. By default the list is filtered to show Current schedules. An alternative filter can be applied using the Select view drop-down field: Expired, Future or All combinations 1.
  3. Click on Tasks. The Tasks tab is activated.
  4. Click on New Task. The Schedule Task window is displayed.
  5. Using the Module drop-down field, select the module from which the scheduled task will be generated (e.g. Rents, Allocations, Repairs, etc.).
  6. Using the Task drop-down field, select the specific task to be added to the schedule, filtered according to the chosen module.
  7. Enter a Description for the new scheduled task into the field provided.
  8. Using the Order field, enter a numeric value to control the sequence in which tasks are processed. The Up and Down arrows are available to increment or decrement the value, as required.
  9. Where subsequent tasks are Dependent upon the successful outcome, activate the tick box provided.
  10. Where parameters are used to control the outcome of a task, enter the appropriate values into the additional fields provided 2.
  11. Click on Confirm. The new task is displayed in the Tasks summary table.
  12. Repeat steps 4 through 11 to add additional tasks.
  13. Click on Save 3.


Note

1 The Search System Schedules field will match against any element of the scheduling timetable description.

2 The actual parameter fields displayed will be specific to the chosen Module and Task entities.

3 To amend the attributes of a task, double-click on the matching row in the Tasks summary table and repeat steps 7 through 11.
