The procedure to remove existing attributes from a materials catalogue is as follows:
- Navigate to Quick Menu > Materials > Configuration > Internal Part Catalogue. The Internal Part Catalogue window is displayed.
- Select a materials catalogue from the alphabetical list or type its name into the Search Categories field. By default the list is filtered to show Current catalogues and their associated categories. An alternative filter can be applied using the Select view drop-down field: Expired, Future or All combinations
1.
- Click on Attributes. The Attributes tab is activated, revealing all part code characteristics employed throughout the materials catalogue in the Attributes Assigned To Catalogue summary table.
- Activate the Select tick box against each part code attribute to be removed from the materials catalogue.
- Click on Remove Attributes From Catalogue. The Remove Attributes From Catalogue window is displayed.
- Choose an Effective to date to set the future expiration date for the chosen attributes i.e. denoting the point at which their inclusion within the materials catalogue will be suspended.
- Click on Save. The corresponding entries are updated within the Attributes Assigned To Catalogue summary table to reflect the specified expiration date
2.
Notes
1 The Search Categories field will match against any element of the catalogue title or associated sub headings.
2 Where a catalogue attribute has been removed in error, or the expiration date needs to be revised, double-click on the corresponding row to reveal the Update Attribute On Catalogue window and override the Effective to date accordingly; the Date type, Comments and Effective from values can also be adjusted at the same time.
