The procedure to define the price of a SOR code is as follows:
- Navigate to Quick Menu > Repairs > Configuration > Schedule of Rates. The Schedule Of Rates Details window is displayed.
- Expand a SOR table, trade and section trade from the alphabetical list and select an associated SOR code (short description), or type its name into the Search SOR field. By default the list is filtered to show Current SOR codes. An alternative filter can be applied using the Filter by drop-down field: Expired, Future or All combinations
1.
- Click on Prices. The Prices tab is activated, revealing a list of all historical prices set for the SOR code in the Prices summary table.
- Click on New Price. The New Price window is displayed.
- Enter the Labour price into the field provided. The Up and Down arrows are available to increment or decrement the value, as required.
- Enter the Material price into the field provided. The Up and Down arrows are available to increment or decrement the value, as required.
- Enter the Overhead price into the field provided. The Up and Down arrows are available to increment or decrement the value, as required.
- Where the calculated Total price represents the standard operating figure for the SOR code, ensure that the Use base price tick box is activated
2. Alternatively, using the inter-related Contracts drop-down field, multi-select all contracts that will be assigned an adjusted cost figure for the work instruction, or choose the All option, as required
1.
- Choose an Effective from date for this new price structure i.e. the date on which it came into effect
3.
- Choose an Effective to date if the price structure is to be time bound; a blank field means the price is continually valid.
- Click on Save
4. The new SOR code price structure is displayed in the Prices summary table.
Tip
1 Where only a small number of parameter values are not required, activate the All tick box first and then deselect individual items from the full list, as appropriate; the All tick box will be automatically removed once an item is deselected.
Note
1 The Search SOR field will match against any element of the SOR code short description.
2 This is the default setting when defining a new price point for a SOR code; hence this option must be deactivated before choosing to assign an alternative price point to specific contracts.
3 The Effective from date defaults to the current system date and cannot be left blank.
4 Only one adjusted SOR code price structure can be effective at any one time for the same contract subset; where dates overlap the end user will need to revise the entries accordingly.
