The procedure to create a new SOR code is as follows:
- Navigate to Quick Menu > Repairs > Configuration > Schedule of Rates. The Schedule Of Rates Details window is displayed.
- Click on New Schedule. All fields are activated ready for data entry.
- Enter a new SOR code into the field provided i.e. the unique identifier for the individual work instruction.
- Enter a Short description for the SOR code into the field provided

- Enter a Long description for the SOR code into the field provided

- Using the SOR table drop-down field, select the table appropriate for the SOR code.
- Using the Unit of measurement drop-down field, select an appropriate parameter value for the SOR code e.g. Each, Metre, Square Metre.
- Using the Trade drop-down field, select an appropriate parameter value for the SOR code to categorise the works instruction e.g. Brickwork, Plumbing, Roofing, etc.
- Using the Section trade drop-down field, select an appropriate parameter value for the SOR code to refine the works instruction type e.g.Domestic Heating.
- Assign a Default priority to the SOR code using the drop-down field provided, that will be automatically ascribed during the composition of a works order e.g. Emergency, Urgent, Routine, etc.
- Assign a Default repair type to the SOR code using the drop-down field provided, that will be automatically ascribed during the composition of a works order e.g. Fire Damage, Water Leakage, Planned Maintenance, etc.
- Enter the Standard minute values using the field provided. The Up and Down arrows are available to increment or decrement the value, as required

- Where fulfilment of the works instruction cannot be completed by a single operative, enter the Minimum crew size into the field provided. The Up and Down arrows are available to increment or decrement the value, as required.
- Using the Skill drop-down field, select the required expertise to conduct the works instruction and enter the corresponding Skill level category into the adjacent box
4. The Up and Down arrows are available to increment or decrement the value, as required.
- Multi-select the required attributes for the SOR code by activating the tick boxes provided. An explanation of each available attribute is summarised in the table below.
- Use the Additional analysis field to further characterise the nature of the SOR code.
- Using the VAT drop-down field, select the VAT rate appropriate for the SOR code e.g. Standard Rate, Zero Rated, etc.
- Choose an Effective from date for this SOR code i.e. the date on which it came into effect

- Choose an Effective to date if the SOR code is to be time bound; a blank field means the code is continually valid.
- Click on Save.
Note
1 The Short description is used to capture the component detail of the SOR code.
2 The Long description is used to capture the elemental detail of the SOR code.
3 The Standard minute values field captures the expected time taken to undertake the work detailed in the SOR code.
4 These custom values can be populated by the end user via the system parameter entitled Repair SOR Skills.
5 The Effective from date defaults to the current system date and cannot be left blank.

|
The Right to repair scheme ensures that housing repairs which could affect a tenant's health or safety, and are of relatively small material value are completed quickly. This attribute denotes that the SOR code is potentially covered under the scheme.

|
An inspection is required prior to undertaking the work detailed in the SOR code.

An end user warning will be triggered once the Time period in days to generate a warning if duplicate SOR's are detected system preference is reached.

Minimum order value applicable
|
Where contract definition parameters dictate a minimum order value is applicable, the SOR code can be used to offset any charging shortfall.

Crew task
|
The works instruction will be fulfilled by the complementary skills of multiple operatives.
|
Double handed
|
The operative fulfilling the works instruction must be ambidextrous.
|
User selectable
|
The SOR code can be selected manually during the composition of a works order.
