To add an organisation asset resource type to an action plan

Parent Previous Next

The procedure to add an organisation asset resource type to an action plan is as follows:

  1. Navigate to Quick Menu > System > Configuration > Action Plans. The Action Plans window is displayed.
  2. Expand an asset resource heading from the alphabetical list and select an associated action plan or type the name into the Search Action Plans field. By default the list is filtered to show Current action plans. An alternative filter can be applied using the Select view drop-down field: Expired, Future or All combinations 1.
  3. Click on New Resource. The Resource Type window is displayed.
  4. Using the Type drop-down field, select an appropriate asset resource type for the action plan, filtered by the chosen Plan Type e.g. House, Bungalow, Flat, etc.
  5. To set the action plan as the Default for the associated resource type, activate the tick box required 2.
  6. Choose an Effective from date for this linked resource type i.e. the date on which the link came into effect 3.
  7. Choose an Effective to date if the link to the resource type is to be reviewed on a specific date or to capture a change of circumstances; a blank field means the link will be continually valid.
  8. Click on Confirm. The new record is displayed in the Resource Types summary table.
  9. Repeat steps 3 through 8 to add further resource types.
  10. Click on Save 4.

Note

1 The Search Action Plans field will match against any element of the action plan description.

2 Where a default action plan already exists for the same resource type, the end user is asked to affirm the attribute transfer from one to the other.

3 The Effective from date defaults to the current system date and cannot be left blank.

4 To amend the details of an existing resource type, double-click on the desired row in the Resource Types summary table; only a limited number of fields can be updated once a record has been created.
