To view the group dependencies for a cost centre

The procedure to view the group dependencies for a cost centre is as follows:

  1. Navigate to Quick Menu > Service Charges > Configuration > Cost Centres. The Service Charge Cost Centre window is displayed.
  2. Select a cost centre from the alphabetical list or type its name into the Search Cost Centres field. By default the list is filtered to show Current cost centres. An alternative filter can be applied using the Select view drop-down field: Expired, Future or All combinations 1.
  3. Click on Dependents. The Dependents tab is activated, revealing the Service Charge Groups summary table, containing a list of all service charge groups that include one or more of the cost centre elements 1. Certain fields are worthy of special note and are captured in the table below 2.
  4. Click on Close.


Tip

1 By default, all dependent service charge groups are displayed in alphabetical order; to aid in identification and analysis, rows can be reordered by clicking on any of the available headings.

Note

1 The Search Cost Centres field will match against any component of the cost centre description.

2 A subset of fields are visible by default; additional fields can be revealed or hidden via the Menu option.


Field

Description

Description

The name of the service charge group that includes one or more cost centre elements.

Functional unit

The functional unit to which the service charge group belongs.

Apportionment rule

The method by which service charges are allocated to the group membership records i.e. Bedrooms, Equal Division, Floor Space or User Defined.

Effective from

The date on which the service charge group dependency came into effect.

Effective to

The date beyond which the service charge group dependency expires; a blank field means the dependency link between the cost centre and the group will be continually valid.
