To view the details of a service charge capping rule

The procedure to view the details of a service charge capping rule is as follows:

Navigate to Quick Menu > Service Charges > Configuration > Groups. The Service Charge Group window is displayed.
Expand a functional unit heading from the alphabetical list and select an associated service charge group, or type its name into the Search Groups field. By default the list is filtered to show Current groups. An alternative filter can be applied using the Select view drop-down field: Expired, Future or All combinations 1.
Click on Rules. The Rules tab is activated, revealing a list of all capping rules applicable to the service charge group in the Capping Rules summary table.
Highlight the row matching the capping rule detail to be viewed.
Click on View Capping Rule Detail. The Service Charge Capping Rule window is displayed, revealing all attributes configured for the selected capping rule. Certain fields are worthy of special note and are captured in the table below.

Note

1 The Search Groups field will match against any element of the service charge group description.

Field	Description
Maximum charge	The service charge upper threshold fee above which the capping rule becomes effective.
Apportionment method	The method by which a capped value is deducted from individual cost elements i.e. All Elements or Specific Elements.
Cost element	A list of all cost elements linked to the service charge group that are included in the capping rule.
Apportion to this element	Denotes that a capped value may be deducted from charges linked to this cost element.
