A rent agreement for an asset is a contract between the tenant and the housing organisation, setting out rights to both parties in respect of occupying the asset and the charging of rent. Typically, a written agreement will include the following information:
Once an agreement comes into effect, a rent agreement episode is linked to the asset record. During periods of vacancy, a rent void episode is automatically created.
The procedure to view rent agreement episodes for an asset is as follows:

1 The search facility will return all possible matches for any corresponding address field once the Number of characters before an automatic search commences system preference is reached.

The date on which the rent agreement or void episode commences. |

The date on which the rent agreement or void episode expires, if relevant. |
Responsible |
The individual members of the linked contact group identified as responsible for the rent agreement episode. |
Termination |
A description to provide contextual qualification in circumstances where the agreement episode was terminated in advance of the end date. |
Balance |
The current amount of outstanding rent payable on the asset. |
