Schedule of Rates (SORs) are an invaluable tool for benchmarking, ensuring that Housing Improvement Programmes are operated as cost effectively as possible, with confidence that all charges are based on a pre-determined and agreed basis of measurement and pricing.
The procedure to map a SOR task to a stock condition replacement item is as follows:
- Navigate to Quick Menu > Asset Management > Configuration > Configure Components. The Stock Condition Configuration window is displayed.
- Expand the nested element and component headings before selecting a replacement item from the hierarchical list, or type its name into the Search for Stock Conditions field. By default the list is filtered to show Current stock condition focus areas. An alternative filter can be applied using the Select view drop-down field: Expired, Future or All
1.
- Click on New SOR. The New SOR window is displayed.
- Enter a Description for the SOR task that matches the stock condition replacement item.
- Enter the Base Year applicable to the SOR task (format YYYY) i.e. the point at which the associated cost was calculated, and therefore the starting point for inflation-adjusted future cost projections.
- Choose an Effective from date for this mapped SOR task i.e. the date on which it came into effect
2.
- Choose an Effective to date if the mapped SOR task is to be time bound; a blank field means its association to the replacement item is continually valid.
- Click on Save. The mapped SOR task entry is displayed in the Prices grid
3.
Note
1 The Search for Stock Conditions field will match against any focus area included within the hierarchical element and component structure.
2 The Effective from date defaults to the current system date and cannot be left blank.
3 To amend the details of an existing SOR task entry, highlight the corresponding row in the Prices grid and click on Update SOR, before repeating steps 4 through 8.
