A SOR task is used to describe an aspect of work that must be fulfilled in order to conduct a replacement of a specific fixture or fitting, and typically there will be several inter-related tasks pertinent to a single replacement item. The cost of each SOR task can reflect unit price variances that are applicable over different time periods.
The procedure to add a SOR price point to a stock condition replacement item is as follows:
- Navigate to Quick Menu > Asset Management > Configuration > Configure Components. The Stock Condition Configuration window is displayed.
- Expand the nested element and component headings before selecting a replacement item from the hierarchical list, or type its name into the Search for Stock Conditions field. By default the list is filtered to show Current stock condition focus areas. An alternative filter can be applied using the Select view drop-down field: Expired, Future or All
1.
- With the Prices grid in current focus, highlight the SOR task against which a price point is to be recorded.
- Click on SOR Price. The SOR Price window is displayed, with the SOR field automatically populated with the respective task in current focus
2.
- Enter the Cost of the SOR task into the field provided. The Up and Down arrows are available to increment or decrement the value, as required.
- Use the Lifecycle field to specify how long (in years) the completed SOR task is likely to last before needing to be replaced again.
- Choose an Effective from date for this SOR price point i.e. the date on which it came into effect
3.
- Choose an Effective to date if the SOR price point is to be time bound; a blank field means its relevance to the task is continually valid.
- Click on Save. The SOR price point details are reflected in the summary grid.
Note
1 The Search for Stock Conditions field will match against any focus area included within the hierarchical element and component structure.
2 The pre-populated value can be adjusted, as required, in order to generate price points for different SOR tasks linked to the same stock condition replacement item.
3 The Effective from date defaults to the current system date and cannot be left blank.
