To define an application advice parameter value

Parent Previous Next

The procedure to define an application advice parameter value is as follows:

  1. Navigate to Quick Menu > Allocations > Configuration > Application Advice. The Application Advice window is displayed.
  2. Click on New Advice. All fields are activated ready for data entry.
  3. Enter an Advice Description into the field provided e.g. General Signposting Advice, Shared Ownership Advice, etc. 1.
  4. Use the HTML field to insert contextual notes that will be presented to the end user or housing applicant on submission of the application form. As the advice will be displayed through the Civica Cx Housing interface, HTML code must be employed to control the text formatting style and behaviour 2.
  5. Choose an Effective from date for this advice parameter value i.e. the date on which it came into effect 3.
  6. Choose an Effective to date if the advice parameter value is to be reviewed on a specific date or to capture a change of circumstances; a blank field means the advice parameter will never expire.
  7. Click on Save 4.

Note

1 System validation rules ensure that the description entered for each new advice parameter value is unique.

2 The desired output can be verified using the Preview option.

3 The Effective from date defaults to the current system date and cannot be left blank.

4 To amend the details of an existing parameter, select an advice description from the alphabetical list or enter its name into the Search Application Advice field. By default the list is filtered to show Current advice parameter values. An alternative filter can be applied using the Select view drop-down field: Expired, Future or All combinations. Only a limited number of fields can be updated once a record has been created.
