The procedure to create a new application review type is as follows:
Tip
1 To aid in identification and extended searching opportunities, it is good practice to devise and uphold a consistent naming convention for all review types.
Note
1 The Effective from date defaults to the current system date and cannot be left blank.
2 To amend the details of an existing review type, select an entry from the alphabetical list (or enter its name into the Search Review Types field) and repeat steps 4 through 8. By default the list is filtered to show Current review types. An alternative filter can be applied using the Select view drop-down field: Expired, Future or All combinations.
Review Type Attribute |
Description |
Periodic Review |
Indicates that the review will be a recurring process, with the additional Calculate first review from, Frequency period and Frequency period unit fields supporting the end user in defining its commencement date and cyclical structure. |
Triggered by Status |
Indicates that a review will be automatically launched based on the progression point of an application, with the additional Status and Days at status fields defining the elapsed time duration at a particular milestone before a review is warranted. |
Conditional |
Supports the definition of one or more conditions that must be satisfied before a review is triggered - click on Statement Builder to compile the logical expressions using application entities or related components, with the resulting statement captured in the Rules field. This requisite step mirrors functionality covered separately in the topic Understanding the advanced statement builder. Alternatively, where a bespoke SQL stored procedure has been created to control the review process, enter its name into the Stored procedure field. |
Available for Manual Creation |
Indicates that the review process can be initiated manually. |
Do Not Duplicate |
Prevents a new review from being launched whilst an existing record is set to the progression status of Live. Where an existing review is Pending, the end user has the opportunity to replace that record with the next iteration. |
Do Not Repeat |
Prevents a further review from being launched when the same trigger point is reached. |
