To adjust the loss value of an asset void episode

The procedure to adjust the loss value of an asset void episode is as follows:

  1. Using the global search facility, type in the first few characters of the asset address 1.
  2. Double-click on the row containing the exact record match. Where the expected record is not listed, a more advanced search can be conducted using the spy-glass icon ().
  3. Click on History. The History tab is activated, revealing a list of all chronological agreement and void episodes associated with the asset in the Rent summary table.
  4. Double-click on a void episode onto which a loss adjustment will be applied. The Asset Void Episode window is displayed, revealing the attributes of the void episode.
  5. Click on Void Loss. The Void Loss tab is activated.
  6. Click on Adjust. The Asset Void Adjustments window is displayed.
  7. Using the Calendar drop-down field, select the calendar appropriate for the void episode adjustment.
  8. Enter the Adjustment Date for this void episode adjustment charge using the calendar icon (), or type in the value directly (format DD/MM/YY or DD/MM/YYYY) i.e. the date on which the adjustment is applied.
  9. Enter a Description for the asset void adjustment into the field provided.
  10. Use the Notes field to add any contextual information that is relevant to the adjustment.
  11. Add the required charge elements to the asset void adjustment, as required. This procedural step is covered separately in the topic To add a new charge element to an asset void adjustment 2.
  12. Click on Save.


Note

1 The search facility will return all possible matches for any corresponding address field once the Number of characters before an automatic search commences system preference is reached.

2 The asset void adjustment Value will be calculated automatically once charge elements are added to the record; an adjustment value can be displayed as positive or negative to reflect the overall increase or decrease of the void loss respectively.
