The procedure to add a new charge element to an asset void adjustment is as follows:

  1. Prerequisite procedural steps are covered separately in the topic To adjust the loss value of an asset void episode. Refer to these before proceeding to step 2.
  2. Click on Elements. The Elements tab is activated.
  3. Click on New Element. The Adjustment Element window is displayed.
  4. Using the Element Type drop-down field, select an appropriate parameter value for the adjustment charge component e.g. Basic Rent, Service Charge, etc.
  5. Enter the Value for the adjustment charge element into the field provided 1. The Up and Down arrows are available to increment or decrement the value, as required.
  6. Click on Confirm 2. The new adjustment charge component appears in the Elements summary table.
  7. Repeat steps 3 through 6 to add further adjustment charge elements.
  8. Click on Save. The combined element charges are displayed as an overall adjustment Total Value.

Note

1 An adjustment value can be entered as positive or negative to increase or decrease the overall void loss respectively.

2 System validation rules verify the end user's Element Authorisation permission levels in respect of the Maximum adjustment value threshold value being exceeded; in such circumstances a warning message is displayed and the end user must revise the element value accordingly.
