The procedure to add a section to a question form page is as follows:
- Navigate to Quick Menu > System > Configuration > Form Template. The Form Template window is displayed.
- Expand a category heading from the alphabetical list and select an associated question form template, or type its name into the Search Templates field. By default the list is filtered to show Current question form templates. An alternative filter can be applied using the Select view drop-down field: Expired, Future or All combinations

- Click on Page Setup. The Page Setup tab is activated.
- Select the desired question form page on which a section will be added using the drop-down field

- Click on Add Section. The Section Element window is displayed.
- Enter a Name into the field provided i.e. the short description for the section. The syntax of the section name must exclude special characters (? / \ # & ! ^ % £ $)
1. This is a unique reference for the section and is not presented to the recipient on the compiled form.
- Enter a Label into the field provided i.e. the caption for the section, as presented to the recipient on the associated form.
- Use the Information Text field to add supporting contextual data that is relevant to the section i.e. an introduction to the section, as presented to the recipient on the associated form.
- Use the Help Text field to add a tool tip that will aid the recipient in their understanding of the section.
- Click on Confirm. The new section appears in the layout as an indented horizontal bar, underneath the associated page heading.
- Click on Add Group or Add Library Group
3. The Group Element or Group Library window is displayed, ready to capture all the details required for the new section group. - Repeat steps 4 through 11 to add further sections to the question form.
- Click on Save

Tip
1 To aid in identification and extended searching opportunities, it is good practice to devise and uphold a consistent naming convention for all section names.
Note
1 The Search Templates field will match against any element of the question form template name.
2 At least one page must exist before a section can be added to the question form layout.
3 A section must contain at least one group before it can be saved within the question form template.
4 To amend the details of an existing question form section, select the relevant page using the drop-down field, double-click on the associated horizontal bar and repeat steps 6 through 10.
