To reorder elements within a question form

The procedure to reorder elements within a question form is as follows:

1. Navigate to Quick Menu > System > Configuration > Form Template. The Form Template window is displayed.
2. Expand a category heading from the alphabetical list and select an associated question form template, or type its name into the Search Templates field. By default the list is filtered to show Current question form templates. An alternative filter can be applied using the Select view drop-down field: Expired, Future or All combinations 1.
3. Click on Page Setup. The Page Setup tab is activated, revealing the current layout of the active page, with each section, group and question - 'elements' within the form - depicted as a series of indented horizontal bars 2.
4. To reorder an element, select the corresponding horizontal bar and apply the 'drag and drop' technique to reposition it up or down within the boundaries of other associated elements. All related elements are automatically moved in parallel. The permitted movement boundaries for each element type are summarised in the table below 3.
5. Click on Save 4.

Note

1 The Search Templates field will match against any element of the question form template name.

2 Indented horizontal bars are used to reflect all associated sub-elements i.e. sections within a page (coloured Blue), groups within a section (coloured Blue), questions within a group (Red = system questions; Grey = user-defined questions).

3 All application form templates contain mandatory contact and system group sections at the top of the first page which can then be employed elsewhere in the form; hence the position of these elements cannot be changed.

4 Any changes to the element order must be saved on a per page basis.
