To map a SOR task to a risk action type

Parent Previous Next

Where an Action Type relates directly to the fulfilment of specific repair tasks, the corresponding Scheduled of Rates (SOR) codes can be ascribed to the definition, either individually or using a work template; thus, resulting repair records will automatically comprise those SOR tasks without having to re-key the information.

The procedure to map a SOR task to a risk action type is as follows:

  1. Navigate to Quick Menu > Actions > Configuration > Configure Action Types. The Configure Action Types window is displayed.
  2. Expand the relevant group heading and select an action type from the hierarchical list, or enter its name into the Search for Action Types field. By default the list is filtered to show Current action types. An alternative filter can be applied using the Select view drop-down field: Expired, Future or All 1.
  3. Click on Work Templates. The Work Templates tab is activated.
  4. Click on Add SOR. The SOR Select window is displayed.
  5. To identify a SOR code via the bulk selection window: (a) Click on the nested expansion level pointer icons () to reveal the associated trades and concatenated SOR codes + descriptions; (b) Activate the tick box against one or more SOR codes to be included within the action type work instruction; (c) Click on Add to transfer the chosen entries to the right ('required') pane 2; (d) Click on Select - The chosen SOR codes are displayed in the corresponding grid.
  6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 to further extend the scope of the work instruction specific to this action type.

Note

1 The Search for Action Types field will match against any focus area included within the hierarchical action structure.

2 In the same way, use the Remove option in conjunction with the associated tick box field to transfer the SOR code entry out of the right ('required') pane.
