To define inspector hourly rates

Parent Previous Next

The procedure to define inspector hourly rates is as follows:

  1. Navigate to Quick Menu > Repairs > Configuration > Inspectors. The Inspector Details window is displayed.
  2. Select an inspector from the alphabetical list or type their name into the Search Inspector Details field. By default the list is filtered to show Current inspectors. An alternative filter can be applied using the Select view drop-down field: Expired, Future or All combinations 1.
  3. Click on New Rate. The Inspector Rate window is displayed.
  4. Enter the Hourly Rate (e.g. £45.50) into the field provided. The Up and Down arrows are available to increment or decrement the value, as required.
  5. Choose an Effective from date for this inspector rate i.e. the date on which the rate becomes active 2.
  6. Choose an Effective to date if the details need to be reviewed on a specific date or to capture a change of circumstances; a blank field means the rate is continually valid.
  7. Click on Save 3. The new hourly rate is displayed in the Inspector Hourly Rates summary table.

Note

1 The Search Inspector Details field will match against any element of the inspector name.

2 The Effective from date defaults to the current system date and cannot be left blank.

3 Only one hourly rate can be effective at any one time. Where overlapping Effective from and Effective to dates are detected, the user will be asked to amend the values accordingly.
