To create an inspector definition

Parent Previous Next

The procedure to create an inspector definition is as follows:

  1. Navigate to Quick Menu > Repairs > Configuration > Inspectors. The Inspector Details window is displayed.
  2. Select an inspector from the alphabetical list or type their name into the Search Inspector Details field. By default the list is filtered to show Current inspectors. An alternative filter can be applied using the Select view drop-down field: Expired, Future or All combinations 1.
  3. Click on Definitions. The Definitions tab is activated.
  4. Click on New Inspector Definition. The Select definition for Inspector window is displayed.
  5. Activate the All functional units tick box provided to assign all parameter values to this inspector definition or multi-select a subset using the adjacent drop-down field (typically geographical regions), as required 1 2.
  6. Activate the All Inspector Types tick box provided to assign all parameter values to this inspector definition or multi-select a subset using the adjacent drop-down field (e.g. Pre-inspection, Work In Progress (WIP) inspection, Post-inspection), as required 1 2.
  7. Click on Save. The new inspector definition is displayed in the summary table 3.
  8. Repeat steps 4 through 7 to create further definitions 4.

Tip

1 Where only a small number of parameter values are not required, activate the tick box first and then de-select items using the drop-down field; the tick box will be automatically removed once an item is de-selected.

Note

1 The Search Inspector Details field will match against any element of the inspector name.

2 Inspection appointment suitability for each inspector will be governed by these selections.

3 At least one definition must be effective in order for the inspector to be available for selection when processing a repair request.

4 To amend an existing definition, double-click on the matching row in the summary table and repeat steps 5 through 7.
