To define a rent frequency type parameter value

Parent Previous Next

The procedure to define a rent frequency type parameter value is as follows:

  1. Navigate to Quick Menu > Rents > Configuration > Rent Configuration Settings. The Rent Configuration Settings window is displayed.
  2. Click on Frequency. The Frequency tab is activated.
  3. Click on Add Frequency. All fields are activated ready for data entry.
  4. Enter a Frequency description into the field provided e.g. Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Annually, etc. 1.
  5. Using the Period unit drop-down field, select an appropriate parameter value for the frequency e.g. Days, Weeks, Months, etc.
  6. Enter a Period value into the field provided i.e. the Period unit multiplier 2.
  7. Choose an Effective from date for this frequency type i.e. the date on which it came into effect 3.
  8. Choose an Effective to date if the frequency type status is to be reviewed on a specific date or to capture a change of circumstances; a blank field means the frequency type will never expire.
  9. Click on Save 4.

Note

1 System validation rules ensure that the description entered for each new frequency type is unique for the effective period.

2 By way of example, if a bi-monthly frequency was required a Period value of '2' would be inserted, combined with a Period unit of 'Months'.

3 The Effective from date defaults to the current system date and cannot be left blank.

4 To amend the details of an existing parameter, select a frequency type from the alphabetical list or enter its name into the Search Frequency field. By default the list is filtered to show Current frequency types. An alternative filter can be applied using the Select view drop-down field: Expired, Future or All combinations. Only a limited number of fields can be updated once a record has been created.
