To define a discount parameter for a home buy scheme

The procedure to define a discount parameter for a home buy scheme is as follows:

  1. Navigate to Quick Menu > Home Buy > Configuration > Home Buy Discount Percentage. The Home Buy Discount Percentage Configuration window is displayed.
  2. Click on New Discount. All fields are activated ready for data entry 1.
  3. Enter a Description for the discount percentage into the field provided 2.
  4. Using the Home buy type drop-down field, select a parameter value to reflect the classification of the home buy scheme relevant to the discount percentage i.e. Right To Acquire, Right To Buy or Social Home Buy.
  5. Using the Country drop-down field, select the specific country to which the home buy discount percentage applies i.e. England, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Scotland or Wales.
  6. Using the Local authorities drop-down field, select the subset of governing regions within the chosen country to which the home buy discount percentage relates.
  7. Enter the lower percentage threshold for the qualifying property equity into the Equity percentage from (%) field provided. The Up and Down arrows are available to increment or decrement the value, as required.
  8. Enter the upper percentage threshold for the qualifying property equity into the Equity percentage to (%) field provided. The Up and Down arrows are available to increment or decrement the value, as required.
  9. Using the Companies drop-down field, multi-select all companies for which this home buy discount percentage is relevant, or choose the All option, as required 1.
  10. Choose an Effective from date for this discount percentage i.e. the date on which it came into effect 3.
  11. Choose an Effective to date if the discount percentage is to be reviewed on a specific date or to capture a change of circumstances; a blank field means the parameter will be continually valid.
  12. Click on Save 4.


Tip

1 Where only a small number of parameter values are not required, activate the All tick box first and then de-select individual items from the full list, as appropriate; the All tick box will be automatically removed once an item is de-selected.

Note

1 Upon first access, all fields are automatically activated ready for data entry; hence the New Discount button is inactive.

2 System validation rules ensure that the description entered for each new discount percentage is unique for the effective period.

3 The Effective from date defaults to the current system date and cannot be left blank.

4 To amend the details of an existing home buy discount percentage, expand a company subheading from within the nested classification structure and select an associated discount percentage from the alphabetical list (or enter its name into the Search Discount Percentage field) and repeat steps 3 through 12. By default the list is filtered to show Current discount percentages. An alternative filter can be applied using the Select view drop-down field: Expired, Future or All combinations. Only a limited number of fields can be updated once a record has been created.
