Note
System validation rules ensure that the code entered for each new rent charge element is unique.
These custom values can be populated by the end user via the general lookup parameter entitled Rate Element Categories.
By way of example, if a two month notice period was required, a Period value of '2' would be inserted, coinciding with a Unit of 'Months'.
The Effective from date defaults to the current system date and cannot be left blank.
To amend the details of an existing rent charge element, expand the classification heading, select an element from the alphabetical list (or type its name into the Search Elements field) and repeat steps 5 through 18. By default the list is filtered to show Current charge elements. An alternative filter can be applied using the Select view drop-down field: Expired, Future or All combinations.
