To create a new home buy stage

Parent Previous Next

The procedure to create a new home buy stage is as follows:

  1. Navigate to Quick Menu > Home Buy > Configuration > Home Buy Stage Type. The Home Buy Stage Configuration window is displayed.
  2. Click on New Stage 1. All fields are activated ready for data entry.
  3. Enter a Description for the home buy stage into the field provided 2.
  4. Using the Home buy type drop-down field, select a parameter value to reflect the classification of the home buy scheme i.e. Right To Acquire, Right To Buy or Social Home Buy.
  5. Using the Master stage drop-down field, select an appropriate parameter value to map the overarching status for the new stage i.e. Appeal, Application, Completion, Delay, Eligibility, Offer, Offer Accepted or Valuation.
  6. Where progression onto this home buy stage equates to the overarching master status, activate the Default to master stage tick box provided 3.
  7. Using the Country drop-down field, select the specific country to which the home buy scheme applies i.e. England, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Scotland or Wales.
  8. Using the Company drop-down field, multi-select all companies for which this home buy stage is relevant, or choose the All option, as required 1.
  9. Using the Available stages drop-down field, multi-select all alternative stages onto which a home buy case can be progressed 4.
  10. Choose an Effective from date for this home buy stage i.e. the date on which it came into effect 5.
  11. Choose an Effective to date if the home buy stage is to be reviewed on a specific date or to capture a change of circumstances; a blank field means the stage will never expire.
  12. Click on Save 6.

Tip

1 Where only a small number of parameter values are not required, activate the All tick box first and then de-select individual items from the full list, as appropriate; the All tick box will be automatically removed once an item is de-selected.

Note

1 Upon first access, all fields are automatically activated ready for data entry; hence the New Stage button is inactive.

2 System validation rules ensure that the description entered for each new home buy stage is unique for the effective period.

3 Only one stage can be assigned the default master status within the same effective period, where the home buy type, country and company selections are identical; should an existing stage already have this setting the end user will need to reaffirm one or the other.

4 Only stages of the same home buy type classification that are linked to an identical country and company combination are available for selection.

5 The Effective from date defaults to the current system date and cannot be left blank.

6 To amend the details of an existing home buy stage, expand a company subheading from within the nested classification structure and select an associated stage from the alphabetical list (or enter its name into the Search Stage Types field) and repeat steps 3 through 12. By default the list is filtered to show Current stage types. An alternative filter can be applied using the Select view drop-down field: Expired, Future or All combinations. Only a limited number of fields can be updated once a record has been created.
