To assign campaign exclusion preferences to a contact group

Parent Previous Next

Housing organisations can launch any number of campaigns on a whole spectrum of topics, supporting wider tenant engagement: offering practical guidance on matters of social inclusion, anti-social behaviour and personal security; promoting upcoming training programmes focused on professional development opportunities; raising the awareness of new policies and directives. Not all types of campaign are relevant to all contact groups and so it is important to target the right audience. Indeed, creating a better connection between their potential needs and what the social housing provider has to offer maximises the likelihood of a positive outcome. For instance, a campaign encouraging tenants of low-income housing facilities to adopt energy conserving behaviours might only be appropriate to a certain subset of customers.

The procedure to assign campaign exclusion preferences to a contact group is as follows:

  1. Using the Advanced search spy-glass (), select Contact group as the Result Set and Criteria Set category and enter the Group name as the search criteria 1.
  2. Double-click on the row containing the exact record match or use Refine Search to enter alternative criteria. The Contact Group Summary window is displayed.
  3. Click on Contact Group Details. The Contact Group Details window is displayed for the current group.
  4. Using the Campaign Exclusions drop-down field, multi-select all campaign categories from which this contact group will be excluded, or choose the All option, as required 1.
  5. Click on Save.

Tip

1 Where only a small number of parameter values are not required, activate the All tick box first and then de-select individual items from the full list, as required; the All tick box will be automatically removed once an item is de-selected.

Note

1 Additional search criteria may need to be employed (e.g. address or post code) to ensure that the correct contact group is returned.
