At action group level, the expertise required to fulfil the associated activities can be defined in terms of the expected accreditation / skill level of the assigned resource. All certifications relevant to the sector are stored on the system as parameters e.g. Gas Safe (the qualification standard for working safely and legally on gas appliances), and these can be used to align the required competency for the action group with the qualified team.
The procedure to assign accreditation dependencies to a risk action group is as follows:
- Navigate to Quick Menu > Actions > Configuration > Configure Action Groups. The Configure Action Groups window is displayed.
- Select an action group from the alphabetical list, or enter its name into the Search for Action Groups field. By default the list is filtered to show Current action groups. An alternative filter can be applied using the Select view drop-down field: Expired, Future or All
1.
- Click on New Accreditation. The Add Accreditation window is displayed.
- Using the Accreditation type drop-down field, select an appropriate certification dependency for the action group e.g. Gas Safe, NICEIC, ARCA, etc.
2.
- Choose an Effective from date for this new accreditation i.e. the date on which the dependency came into effect
3.
- Choose an Effective to date if the dependency is to be time bound; a blank field means the certification is required in perpetuity.
- Click on Save. The new entry appears in the Accreditations summary table.
Note
1 The Search for Action Groups field will match against any element of the action group description.
2 These custom values can be populated by the end user via the system parameter entitled Repairs Accreditation Types.
3 The Effective from date defaults to the current system date and cannot be left blank.
