To add a task to a support provision type

The procedure to add a task to a support provision type is as follows:

  1. Navigate to Quick Menu > Support > Configuration > Support Types. The Support Type Configuration window is displayed.
  2. Expand a classification heading and select a support provision type from the alphabetical list, or enter its name into the Search Case Types field. By default the list is filtered to show Current support types. An alternative filter can be applied using the Select view drop-down field: Expired, Future or All combinations 1.
  3. Click on Tasks. The Tasks tab is activated.
  4. Click on New Available Task. The New Available Task window is displayed.
  5. Enter a task description into the dynamic search field provided, or click on Show All Tasks to bypass the filtering option 2. All possible matches are returned in the Available Tasks summary table.
  6. Highlight the row matching the desired task definition to be included within the support provision type 3.
  7. Choose an Effective from date for this record i.e. the date on which the linked task came into effect for this support provision type 4.
  8. Choose an Effective to date if the link needs to be reviewed on a specific date or to capture a change of circumstances; a blank field means the link will never expire.
  9. Click on Confirm. The linked task is displayed in the Available Tasks summary table.
  10. Repeats steps 4 through 9 to add further tasks to the support provision type, ready to be assigned to newly-created cases on an ad hoc basis.
  11. Click on Save 5.


Note

1 The Search Case Types field will match against any element of the support provision type description.

2 The field will operate as a dynamic search function and match against any element of the task description based on the successive characters entered.

3 Only task definitions matching the Support classification will be displayed.

4 The Effective from date defaults to the current system date and cannot be left blank.

5 To amend the details of a linked task, double-click on the desired row in the Available Tasks summary table and repeat steps 7 through 9; to remove the assigned task, change the Effective to date to be in the past.
