The procedure to add a rule to a contract is as follows:
- Navigate to Quick Menu > Repairs > Configuration > Contract Rules. The Contract Rule Details window is displayed.
- Select a contract rule from the alphabetical list or type its name into the Search Contract Rule field. By default the list is filtered to show Current contract rules. An alternative filter can be applied using the Select view drop-down field: Expired, Future or All combinations
1.
- Click on New Details. The Select Contract Rules Details window is displayed.
- Using the Contract drop-down field, select a contract against which the rule will apply
2.
- Where work relevant to the selected contract is allocated by percentage, enter the Target percentage value into the field provided. The Up and Down arrows are available to increment or decrement the value, as required.
- Alternatively, where work relevant to the selected contract is allocated by ranking, enter the threshold Ranking value into the field provided i.e. the minimum ranking value to be attained by the contractor before they can be considered for the work. The Up and Down arrows are available to increment or decrement the value, as required.
- Choose an Effective from date for this linked contract rule i.e. the date on which it became active
3.
- Choose an Effective to date if the linked contract rule needs to be reviewed on a specific date in the future or to capture a change of policy; a blank field means the link will be continually valid.
- Click on Save
4. The linked contract is displayed in the Details summary table.
Note
1 The Search Contract Rule field will match against any element of the rule name.
2 The actual number of work orders awarded to the contract - in terms of units and percentage - is displayed as an aide memoir.
3 The Effective from date defaults to the current system date and cannot be left blank.
4 A contract can only be linked once to a single rule within the same effective period; where overlapping Effective from and Effective to dates are detected, the user will be asked to amend the values accordingly.
