The procedure to add a materials part to a repairs work template is as follows:
- Navigate to Quick Menu > Work Template > Configuration > Configure Work Templates. The Work Templates window is displayed.
- Expand a Category heading and select a repairs work template from the hierarchical list, or type its name into the Search Template field. By default the list is filtered to show Current templates. An alternative filter can be applied using the Select view drop-down field: Expired, Future or All combinations
1.
- Click on SORs. The SORs tab is activated, with all fulfilment tasks linked to the repairs work template displayed in the SORs summary table.
- Highlight the specific row matching the SOR task against which material parts are required.
- Click on Add Parts. The Add Part window is displayed.
- Enter a Part code or component of the description into the search field provided; all possible matches are returned in the Part Search Results window
2. Alternatively, use the spy-glass icon (
) to launch the Search Part window, through which a more advanced search can be conducted, with the results being progressively refreshed within the Parts grid to match the specified criteria, ready for selection.
- Enter the Quantity required to fulfil the repair task. The Up and Down arrows are available to increment or decrement the value, as required.
- Use the Comments field to add any contextual information relevant to the material part.
- Choose an Effective from date for this material part entry i.e. the date on which it came into effect for the repair task
3.
- Choose an Effective to date if the material part's inclusion within the overall repairs work template is to be reviewed on a specific date or to capture a change of circumstances; a blank field means the link will remain in perpetuity.
- Click on Save. The new entry is displayed in the Parts summary table.
- Repeat steps 4 through 11 to add further material parts to the repairs work template.
Note
1 The Search Template field will match against any element of the repairs work template name.
2 The field will operate as a dynamic search function and match against the Part code or any element of the description.
3 The Effective from date defaults to the current system date and cannot be left blank.
