The procedure to add a court application to a rent account is as follows:
- Using the global search facility, type in the first few characters of either the responsible contact for the agreement or the asset address

- Double-click on the row containing the exact record match. Where the expected record is not listed, a more advanced search can be conducted using the spy-glass icon (
).
- Click on Agreements (contact summary 360 view) or History (for an asset)
2. The Agreements tile (or History tab) is activated, revealing a list of all agreements associated with the contact (or asset) in the Agreements (or Rent) summary table.
- Double-click on the specific agreement against which a court application is being served on the account. The Agreement Details window is displayed.
- Click on Accounts. The Accounts tab is activated.
- Double-click on the specific account against which a court application is being served. The Account Details window is displayed.
- Click on Actions. The Actions tab is activated.
- Click on New Action. The New Action window is displayed.
- Using the Action drop-down field, select the Court Application parameter value i.e. the action to be linked to the account

- Enter the Action date using the calendar icon (
), or type in the value directly (format DD/MM/YY or DD/MM/YYYY) i.e. the date on which the court application is served.
- Use the Action notes field to add any contextual information that is relevant to a court application having been served on the account.
- Select the Court location for the hearing using the spy-glass icon (
). The Address Search window is displayed.
- Enter sufficient address details into the search fields provided and click on Search. The Select Address window is displayed, returning all possible matches.
- Double-click the row containing the exact record match or use Refine Search to enter different criteria. Alternatively, click on New Address to create a new address for the court hearing, not previously held.
- Complete all additional fields associated with the Court Application action type. An explanation of each available field is summarised in the table below.
- Click on Confirm. The action to serve a court application on the rent account appears as a new entry in the Actions summary table.
Note
1 The search facility will automatically return all possible matches for a contact's first name and last name once the Number of characters before an automatic search commences system preference is reached; it will likewise return all possible matches for any corresponding address field.
2 The availability and customisation of all Contact Summary 360 View tiles is controlled separately for each end user via their unique system profile.
3 Only actions matching the arrears policy linked to the account will be available for selection.
