To view the attributes of a matched resource

Parent Previous Next

For non-organisational assets and service-based resources, the attributes and characteristics - known as resource subtypes - are completely user-defined. Any number of parameter fields and data types can be created, before linking them through to individual resource types in any combination. This flexibility in creating resource records ensures that all relevant information is captured in a consistent and comprehensive way, with active resource fields appropriate to the match list process held in the same location. This aspect of functionality is not relevant to organisational assets, as those attributes are held separately in the designated Characteristics tab.

The procedure to view the attributes of a matched resource is as follows:

  1. Prerequisite procedural steps are covered separately in the topic To generate a match list for a resource. Refer to these before proceeding to step 2.
  2. Click on Resource Details 1. The Resource Details tab is activated, revealing all associated system and user-defined fields appropriate to the resource subtype; these determine the attributes of the individual resource, with the specific bespoke entries controlled by the associated data types i.e. Date Only, Date Time, Decimal, Integer, Lookup, Text, Time Only, True or False.
  3. Click on Close.

Note

1 The Resource Details tab is not populated for organisational assets.
