To update income records for a contact group

The procedure to update income records for a contact group is as follows:

  1. Using the Advanced search spy-glass (), select Contact group as the Result Set and Criteria Set category, and enter the Group name as the search criteria 1.
  2. Double-click on the row containing the exact record match or use Refine Search to enter alternative criteria. The Contact Group Summary window is displayed.
  3. Click on Contact Group Details. The Contact Group Details window is displayed for the current group.
  4. Click on Income. The Income tab is activated.
  5. Click on New Income. The New Income window is displayed.
  6. Using the Source drop-down field, select the income source parameter appropriate for the contact group (e.g. Employment, Income Support, Job Seeker's Allowance, etc.).
  7. Use the Amount field to enter an income value for the contact group. The Up and Down arrows are available to increment or decrement the value, as required.
  8. Use the Comments field to add any contextual data that is relevant to the income source record.
  9. Choose an Effective from date for this income source record i.e. the date on which it came into effect 2.
  10. Choose an Effective to date where a change of circumstances is known.
  11. Click on Save. The new source of income is displayed in the Income Details summary table 3.


Note

1 Additional search criteria may need to be employed (e.g. address or post code) to ensure that the correct contact group is returned.

2 The Effective from date defaults to the current system date and cannot be left blank.

3 To amend the details of an existing income source, double-click on the matching row in the summary table and repeat steps 8 through 11.
