To set the uplift values for a rent charge element

Parent Previous Next

The procedure to set the uplift values for a rent charge element is as follows:

  1. Navigate to Quick Menu > Rents > Configuration > Rent Review. The Rent Review window is displayed.
  2. Expand a rent charge review status heading from the alphabetical list and select an associated cycle or type the description directly into the Search Rent Review field. By default the list is filtered to show Open rent review cycles. An alternative filter can be applied using the Select view drop-down field: In Progress, Selection Complete, Applied, Part Applied, Notifications Generated, Cancelled or All 1.
  3. Click on Models. The Models tab is activated.
  4. Using the Model drop-down field, select the model to which the charge element uplift values relate.
  5. Double-click on the first row matching an element charge to be uplifted. The Increase Parameters window is displayed.
  6. Enter the Increase % into the field provided, as required i.e. the value by which the element charge will be uplifted, in percentage terms (a decimal between 0 and 100). The Up and Down arrows are available to increment or decrement the value, as required.
  7. Enter the Increase value into the field provided, as required i.e.the fixed amount by which the element charge will be uplifted. The Up and Down arrows are available to increment or decrement the value, as required.
  8. Enter the Maximum increase value into the field provided i.e. the threshold amount above which an element charge cannot be increased 2. The Up and Down arrows are available to increment or decrement the value, as required.
  9. Click on Confirm. The assigned uplift parameters are displayed in the Increase column for the charge element selected.
  10. Repeat steps 5 through 9 to assign uplift parameters to further charge elements.
  11. Click on Save. The uplift parameters are stored against the active review model 3.

Note

1 The Search Rent Review field will match against any component of the cycle description.

2 The Maximum increase value ensures that a charge element increased by percentage cannot exceed the set threshold.

3 Any previously configured charge element uplift parameters can be retrieved simply by re-selecting the original model to which they relate.
