Parent Previous Next

A hyperlink element is included within a CRM script to direct the end user to additional information available via a document or website; this might be to reveal a housing organisation's policy statement or to refer to government legislation that is pertinent to the customer interaction.

The procedure to define the attributes of a hyperlink element is as follows:

  1. Prerequisite procedural steps are covered separately in the topic To add a node element to a CRM script definition. Refer to these before proceeding to step 2.
  2. Using the Element Type drop-down field, select the option Hyperlink.
  3. Enter the Hyperlink Address into the field provided e.g. http://www.civica.co.uk 1.
  4. Enter the Hyperlink Label into the field provided i.e. a pseudo (friendly) name to be displayed on the script that will be more meaningful to the end user e.g. Civica Official Website.
  5. Click on Save.

Note

1 The full URL - web address - must be entered in order to correctly resolve the location of the intended web page, file, document, video, etc.
