The procedure to assign threshold operators to an administration charge rule is as follows:
- Navigate to Quick Menu > Service Charges > Configuration > Admin Charge Rules. The Service Charge Admin Charge Rule window is displayed.
- Select an administration charge rule from the alphabetical list or type its name into the Search Rules field. By default the list is filtered to show Current rules. An alternative filter can be applied using the Select view drop-down field: Expired, Future or All combinations

- Click on New Rule Detail. The Admin Rule Detail window is displayed.
- Enter the Lower service charge threshold value into the field provided i.e. the minimum service charge value below which administration fees do not apply under this rule. The Up and Down arrows are available to increment or decrement the value, as required.
- Enter the Upper service charge threshold value into the field provided i.e. the service charge value above which no further administration fees are applicable under this rule. The Up and Down arrows are available to increment or decrement the value, as required.
- Enter the Percentage value into the field provided i.e. the rate applied to each valid cost element, used to calculate the overall administration charge. The Up and Down arrows are available to increment or decrement the value, as required.
- Alternatively, enter a Fixed amount value into the field provided i.e. the flat rate fee levied for the administration charge. The Up and Down arrows are available to increment or decrement the value, as required.
- Click on Confirm
2. The new administration charge rule is displayed in the Rule Details summary table.
- Click on Save.

1 The Search Rules field will match against any element of the administration charge rule description.
2 System validation checks ensure that separate administration charge rules cannot coexist with overlapping threshold values.
