Where the SharePoint EDM store is segmented across different structures and web locations, consistent data distribution to and from Civica Cx Housing is supported through the configuration of multiple site collections, ensuring that the broadest range of documents are accessible.
The procedure to add a new collection site to a SharePoint EDM integration service is as follows:
- Navigate to Quick Menu > System > Configuration > Integration Management. The Integration Management window is displayed.
- Expand the SharePoint content store subheading from within the nested EDM System classification structure and select an associated integration service from the alphabetical list (or enter its name into the Search Integrations field). By default the list is filtered to show Current integration services. An alternative filter can be applied using the Select view drop-down field: Expired, Future or All combinations

- Click on New Site. The Site Details window is displayed.
- Enter a Description for the SharePoint site collection into the field provided

- Using the Company drop-down field, multi-select all companies for which this SharePoint site collection is relevant, or choose the All option, as required

- Enter the unique folder path (on-premises variant) or endpoint address of the REST API (online variant), as appropriate, into the Reference field provided.
- Enter the User name and Password credentials reserved for access to the document store.
- Additionally, where SharePoint On-Premises is the incumbent solution, enter the Domain name used to identify the site.
- Choose an Effective from date for this SharePoint site collection entry i.e. the date on which it came into effect

- Choose an Effective to date if the SharePoint site collection entry is to be reviewed on a specific date or to capture a change of circumstances; a blank field means the configured site details will be preserved in perpetuity.
- Click on Save. The new collection reference is displayed in the Site Details summary table.
- Repeat steps 3 through 11 to add further site collection details to the SharePoint EDM integration service.
Tip
1 Where only a small number of parameter values are not required, activate the All tick box first and then deselect individual items from the full list, as appropriate; the All tick box will be automatically removed once an item is deselected.
Note
1 The Search Integrations field will match against any element of the EDM service description.
2 System validation rules ensure that the description entered for each site collection is unique for the effective period.
3 The Effective from date defaults to the current system date and cannot be left blank.
