Communication merge tags library overview
A merge tag is a data field used to insert a place holder into a communication template, which is replaced by personalised, contact-specific information at the point of generation. Civica Cx Housing contains many different data fields for each module, all of which could potentially form part of an external communication or internal analysis report. For all available data fields, corresponding merge tags have been created, sub-divided by module and functional area, with a consistent naming convention to aid searching and identification. When compiling communication content, merge tags appear in the selection pane with a pseudo (friendly) name but are displayed in the body text of a communication template with the physical database field name and merge tag expression.
